Turkish hamam or hotel spa?
Your resort almost certainly has a spa. Here is the honest case for each, including when you should stay where you are.
A hotel spa sells individual treatments from a menu — massages, facials, wraps — in a quiet room, often with a sauna and steam area attached. A traditional hamam performs one fixed sequence: heat, kese scrub, foam wash, massage. The spa is broader; the hamam does the scrub-and-foam that a spa menu usually does not, and it is a cultural experience as much as a treatment.

When the hotel spa is the better answer
We would rather say this than sell you something you do not want. Stay at the hotel if you want a specific clinical or sports treatment, if you want absolute quiet and privacy, if you are short of time, or if the spa is already included in your board.
A hamam is a shared, warm, echoing room where things happen to you fairly briskly. That is exactly why people love it, and exactly why it is not for everybody on the day they want silence.
When the hamam is the better answer
- You want the scrub and the foam — a spa menu will not usually offer them
- You want the experience, not just the treatment
- You want one clear price for a whole afternoon rather than per-treatment charges
- You are travelling as a couple or a family and want to do it together
- You have just arrived and want your skin right for the rest of the week
The pricing difference is worth understanding
Our price is one number per person for the whole sequence, with transfer both ways, paid at the hamam. Extras — a longer massage, a mask, a facial — are offered there and paid there; the prices page is explicit about which is which.
Hotel spa menus are usually priced per treatment and per block of minutes, which is not worse, but it is a different way of buying and it adds up differently.
